Dr. James Loftin

Keynote Speaker

James Loftin is a leader, coach, and author in the areas of outreach, worship, and leadership. He is passionate about mobilizing Christ followers to participate in God’s mission with intentionality, urgency, and excellence. James’s ministry helps churches become biblical communities where outreach is integrated into worship as disciples are nurtured and sent out as the light of the world.

James is the founder and president of FollowOne International (2004), a ministry that provides coaching and resources for churches, organizations, and families that want to have maximum impact on the world. Before FollowOne, James was the Dean of the Chapel and Director of Missions at Asbury Theological Seminary (Orlando campus). He has also been the missions pastor in three growing churches across the South.

Reverend Loftin holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and a Master of Divinity. He has also completed all classes and research for a doctorate in cross-cultural leadership. He has listened, learned, and served in urban and rural settings in over forty nations. After living in China for five years, James and his wife, Vivien, came to the United States for a short vacation in early 2020. Unable to return to Asia due to the pandemic, the Loftins made a home in Georgia. James continues to serve in the ministry of FollowOne, and Vivien is an educator with a specialization in Mandarin. They enjoy exploring nature, trying new foods, and making friends. His book, Born to Shine: Reclaiming Our Identity as the Light of the World was released by WestBow Publishing in 2021.
